Once he has 8 Earth cards in his banish zone, Florian’s true potential kicks in; he adds one extra aura onto every instance of aura creation he does, creating scores of and in single turns. Because of his “start-up” time, Florian tends to be more defensive. Most Florian builds will opt for a slow and steady offense once his ability is enabled, or use his ability to create dozens and dozens of Runechants over several turns, in preparation for a single game-ending attack.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs a defensive hero, Florian doesn’t have too much difficulty surviving for a few turns; however, finding enough space to enact his gameplan tends to be difficult. His Earth attacks tend to be slightly below average defensive tools, and Florian players will need to balance having enough Earth cards to turn on his ability in a reasonable timeframe, while also making sure the deck has enough tools to survive until then. Even after his ability turns out, however, Florian will need to find ways to turn tempo in his favor and get enough value from his ability to make up for lost time. While her abilities are straightforward, Aurora constantly mixes between attacks and instant cards to give her a bit of unpredictability, zipping in and out of combat and constantly making things difficult for her opponent to predict.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhile Aurora’s offensive capabilities are great, her defenses leave something to be desired. Her \u003cstrong\u003eLightning \u003c\/strong\u003ecards vary wildly in defense, with many of the instants she wants to play unable to block at all. As a result, she tends to have a difficult time preventing disruption, making it difficult for her to recover quickly once she loses momentum. Over the course of the game, she’ll gain small instances of health to give herself a healthy lead, peppering her opponent with arcane damage. If the game goes on long enough - or Verdance has enough space - she will set up a game-ending combo finish, amping her arcane spells with additional damage to lead into a near-guaranteed kill.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLike with most defensive heroes, her biggest fear is that opponents are able to rush her down before she is able to stabilize and set up her kill turn. While Verdance usually packs a lot of lifegain and solid defensive spells, her Earth cards tend to be below-average on defense. When presented with overwhelming damage, this usually means that she will end up leaking large chunks of life. In addition to needing some amounts of setup to reach his damage ceiling, Oscilio tends to block poorly. His armor suite is paper-thin, and most of his payoff cards are also his primary sources of blocking power in his deck, making him extremely weak to most forms of disruption.
